The Anodizing Operator performs basic anodizing duties for the anodizing of aluminum parts to be assembled into hose couplings and accessories.
Essential Functions- Rack and un-rack parts properly.
- Run racks of parts through the anodizing process.
- Keep multiple anodizing tanks operating at the same time.
- Correctly identify quality issues due to poor work holding or process.
- Build simple work holding racks.
- Identify the fundamentals of the electrical AMPS/Volts regarding the part.
- Run systems alone through the various processes.
- Determine proper chemical percentages in anodize tanks.
- Maintain anodizing supplies on hand.
- Learning ability.
- Problem solving/analysis.
- Time management
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with others.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, oil and grease. The employee occasionally works near moving machine parts, grinding debris, hazardous fluids and performs work from a variety of different angles and body positions. The noise level in this position may require heavy lifting, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity.
Fast‑paced work environment requiring heavy metal demands. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policies and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, crouching, and crawling. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls and climb or balance.
The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds; and frequently lift and move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm. Opportunities to work extended hours and on weekends may be required as job duties demand.
TravelNo travel is regularly expected for this position. The employee may be assigned to go out on a service call to a customer’s premises.
RequiredEducation and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
