Procurement Manager- Crop Nutrients; South Alabama​/Georgia

GreenPoint Ag is seeking candidates for a Procurement Manager position in the Georgia and South Alabama area of our territory. This position will perform duties as Crop Nutrients Procurement Manager for a broad base of products within a NPK segment. Act as product manager for select products and lead data, logistics, and communication within the CN Team to both Wholesale and Direct Ship Company Owned Retail.

Will report to the Sr. Manager, CN Direct Shipping. The successful candidate will need to live within the territory of Georgia or Southern Alabama.

• Manager for all bulk products within GPAH's CN book and daily point of contact between Suppliers and GPAH.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, deadlines, forecasts, shipping schedules and anything relative to supplier relationships in conjunction with the CN Team and Leadership.
• Maintain all major supplier contracts and ensure that forecasts and targets are being tracked.
• Efficiently orchestrate logistics to locations via rail and truck.
• Responsible for Monthly compilation and review of GPAH CN Position Report while maintaining Risk Policy per company guidelines.
• Provide Data and Analysis Metrics to the Sr. Manager, CN and Leadership.
• Provide weekly market update for distribution to Retail personnel.
• Maintain reasonable watch for quality of products procured.
• Maintain high level of character and integrity as an interface to the fertilizer industry on behalf of GPAH, with focus on long term relationships within the industry

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Agriculture or Business is preferred
• Experience with in fertilizer industry is required
• 5+ years’ experience in agriculture procurement/product management preferred

• Excellent working knowledge of product; ability to research and forecast product needs
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal/managerial skills to deal effectively with a broad base of customers, suppliers, and location personnel
• Ability to communicate with associates and customers
• Detail oriented, with the capability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain professionalism at all times

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.

Position requires periodic overnight travel.
