Senior Radiographer CT & MRI | University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Overview

We are looking to recruit a high quality radiographer who can offer experience in either CT, MRI or both. Our Trust is based across two large hospitals, the Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospitals. Across the organisation we have 9 Canon CT scanners, 4 Siemens MRI scanners, 2 Philips MRI scanners and an Esaote Extremity MRI scanner. This position is primarily based at the Bournemouth site, where a new trauma centre has recently opened, housing two of the above CT scanners.

For CT, we perform a large number of orthopaedic, neuro and chest/body studies, as well as specialist examinations such as cardiac, angiography, colonography and ablations. In MRI we have the opportunity to perform orthopaedic, spine, angio, liver, cardiac, breast, prostate, head & neck and arthrography. We are reference sites for Canon, Siemens, Esaote and Ulrich and as such have regular visitors to our department which helps us maintain great relationships with the companies and consequently enjoy superb support.

We benefit from a dynamic, advanced thinking team of radiographers and assistants who enjoy good working and social relationships. There is excellent support for CPD, such as IV cannulation training, study days and courses. This is a department committed to staying at the forefront of technology as well as all the latest CT & MR scanning techniques.

• Contribute to a department with exposure to CT and/or MRI workloads, including orthopaedic, neuro, chest/body, cardiac, angiography, colonography, ablations, and a range of MRI examinations (orthopaedic, spine, angio, liver, cardiac, breast, prostate, head & neck, arthrography).
• Collaborate within a team of radiographers and assistants and engage in ongoing professional development and CPD activities.
• Support the department’s commitment to maintaining strong vendor relationships with Canon, Siemens, Esaote and Ulrich.

• Opportunity to be recruited as a band 5 with training, or join straight as a band 6 radiographer with potential cross-training in the other modality.
• Commitment to development: IV cannulation training, study days and courses, and access to advanced scanning techniques.
