Maintenance Manager

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join the team at Dornoch Station. Reporting into the General Manager you will be responsible for:

• Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
• Implement preventive maintenance programme.
• Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, public areas and back of house facilities.
• Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
• Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality.
• Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
• Allocate workload and supervise the team.
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
• Monitor expenses and control the budget.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
• Ensure health and safety and fire policies are complied with.
• Act fast to resolve emergency issues.
• Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs.
• Ensure operation is meeting sustainability goals.
• Maintain and supervise maintenance contracts and activity logs of periodical inspections.

• Minimum 2 years maintenance experience, preferably within a hotel environment (although not essential!)
• IOSH Essentia
• Accomplished Leader of Teams
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Conflict management solution skills are essential.
• Expert knowledge of Health & Safety and Fire Regulations
• Good Verbal and IT skills
• Problem Solving Aptitude
• Strong interpersonal skills
