Responsibilities- Maintain all electrical engineering services and equipment within the Trust’s establishments, undertaking planned and reactive maintenance, small improvement work and minor capital schemes.
- Support a multi‑disciplined workforce and resources associated with all engineering plant, building fabric and equipment across the estate.
- Follow departmental and Trust operating policies and procedures, guided by building and health & safety regulations, working closely with the Estates Electrical Officer while capable of working independently.
- Apply a technical engineering approach to the active maintenance of equipment, fabric and utility services for the Trust.
- Be responsible for tools, plant and materials used within the scope of the Estates Department.
- Ensure safety procedures are observed in the use of plant equipment, materials and working procedures, maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Work on the Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust site in its entirety, plus off‑site locations, prioritising tasks within departmental standard operating procedures.
The post is based in the Estates Department. All team members work unsupervised within departmental standard operating procedures and are required to prioritise their work schedule.
