Our Private Client team continues to grow, and we are seeking a skilled Tax Associate to support our busy and collaborative department. As a Tax Associate within our Private Client team, you will play a key role in delivering high quality tax compliance and advisory services to a broad range of clients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing Self Assessment Tax Returns for estates and individual clients
• Managing Capital Gains Tax reporting, including 60 day filings
• Preparing Inheritance Tax (IHT) returns, including those relating to estates and lifetime transfers
• Working closely with Trustees, partners, and colleagues to provide clear, expert tax guidance
• Supporting the wider Private Client team with technical tax input where required

While the role is ideally based in our Poundbury office, we are open to candidates working from other Battens locations, with hybrid flexibility available.

Essential

• ATT and/or TEP qualification
• Strong experience in personal tax compliance
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
• Confident communication skills and a client focused approach
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel

Desirable

• AAT (or equivalent) qualification
• Experience working in a legal or professional services environment
