The Research Assistant II, under general supervision and in collaboration with others, will perform research projects, interpret and analyze results, troubleshoot and modify methods, and assist in designing experiments. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
JobDuties Include:
- Identify laboratory materials and supplies required for experiments and initiate orders via my Marketplace.
- Conduct experiments including cell cultures and biochemical assays.
- Discuss data and other matters with the PI and participate in laboratory meetings.
- Analyze and document data for discussion and publication; contribute to manuscript writing.
- Maintain the laboratory, including cleaning instruments, organizing samples, and following health and safety regulations.
Commensurate with experience.
Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in a relevant field and four years of experience; or master's degree with two or more years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Research experience following protocols and recording data.
- Ability to prioritize based on deadlines.
- Effective communication skills.
