ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Participates in strategic planning. Defines Business Plan capital projects that support the Strategic plan with continual effort in the master plan.
- Responsible for all aspects of projects including:
- Plan work, schedule contractors, specify and purchase materials, and track and report on project expenses and status.
- Creates Capital request documents and presentations to be sent for approval up to the president level.
- Perform engineering assignments related to assigned projects such as preparation of manufacturing area and machine layout drawings. Track and record related project expenses.
- Write reports to document project activities, prepare schedule and budget updates and close out assigned capital projects. Make related project presentations.
- Research information relevant to new or potential capital expense projects and develop capital expense proposals including project scope, objectives, costs and schedules for local review and submittal to corporate authorities.
- Design equipment, support devices such as guards or other components.
- Support and mentor HAR policy to create a safe and good working environment. This includes:
- Acquire knowledge of HAR safety and quality standards.
- Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
- Acquire knowledge of Hydro's safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to maintain workflow or respond to emergency conditions.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5S standards.
- Requires the ability to perform all duties within limitation of the standard methods and procedures, and in accordance with strict adherence to HSE, quality and productivity requirements.
- BS in engineering or minimum 5 years' experience in project work.
- Excellent analytical problem‑solving skills.
- CAD skills and knowledge of engineering, spreadsheet and word processing computer software required.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of process related standards.
- Ability to think critically and theoretically.
- Communication & Reporting.
- Vendor and Contractor Management.
- Compliance & Regulatory Requirements (Federal & Florida Law).
- Quality Assurance of Installation.
- Risk Management.
