Certex UK have an exciting opportunity for a Central Stores Operative to join our team in Harworth (DN11 8RY
), near Doncaster.
The Central Stores Operative plays a key role in the smooth running of warehouse operations by managing the movement of goods in and out, processing warehouse tasks, preparing stock for branch replenishment, and organising transport and documentation for outgoing products. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, IT competency, and forklift handling skills.
The successful applicant will be part of our Lifting Solutions Group, the largest lifting organisation in Europe, comprising of 22 companies with over 100 locations Worldwide including the USA, Australia, and Taiwan.

Key Responsibilities Goods In- Receive, inspect, and sign for incoming goods.
- Check deliveries against purchase orders and report discrepancies.
- Enter stock into the inventory system and store it in designated locations.
- Pick and prepare stock orders accurately based on work order requirements.
- Organise packaging, labelling, and documentation as required.
- Book and coordinate collections with transport providers.
- Ensure goods are shipped in line with schedule and specifications.
- Maintain accurate stock records and support regular stock takes.
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organised.
- Follow health & safety and company procedures.
- Assist with the processing and packing of goods as required.
- Proven experience in a similar warehouse or logistics role.
- Forklift licence experience.
- IT literate – capable of using inventory software, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), and basic logistics tools.
- Experience preparing despatch paperwork and working with transport providers.
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures and safe manual handling practices.
