Supervising Social Worker – Overview

We are looking for a Supervising Social Worker to work in the North service, based in our Doncaster office, to support carers within Lincolnshire, namely Skegness.

Working Arrangement

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with some work completed from home, face‑to‑face meetings with foster carers in Skegness and some work in the office in Doncaster. You would join a thriving and growing community of foster carers and a team of staff with a strong, welcoming, and child‑centred ethos.

Trauma‑informed Practice

Five Rivers works from a trauma‑informed model, integrating our fostering, residential, clinical and education services to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people. Teams are supported by a psychologist and a therapeutic practitioner, who are also foster support workers and business support coordinators. This, alongside manageable workloads, means social workers have the time and resources they need to provide high‑quality support to their foster families.

Responsibilities

As a supervising social worker, you will directly support our foster carers with realistic caseloads, which enables a higher level of supervision, monitoring and intervention. You will work within a trauma‑informed practice model that is continually evolving; you will support recruitment events and complete Form F Assessments.

Qualifications and Requirements

You must be registered with Social Work England and have a formal social work qualification. The role also requires you to have access to a car for completing visits and the right to work in the UK.
