Electrician - days only - Doncaster - up to £40k + overtime Overview

Our client is an engineering business that supply machinery and equipment to customers across the UK. This role is an opportunity to work in house at the Doncaster workshop, maintaining and repairing specialist manufacturing equipment. We would like to hear from you if you are an electrician experienced working in an engineering / industrial setting.

Working closely with 3-phase 400V systems, installations and industrial electrical troubleshooting. The role involves the assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical wiring and equipment in a factory environment. Following safe working procedures, using workshop tools (hand and power tools) safely and effectively, reading and interpreting electrical schematics and diagrams, troubleshooting electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and using basic mechanical understanding when interacting with machinery.

It is essential that applicants have a recognised electrical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent) along with proven experience in an electrical service, installation or maintenance role. You will have a working knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and VSDs (Variable Speed Drives). Ideally you will have completed 18th Edition and have commissioning experience.

• Salary:
  As well as a salary of up to £40k, depending on experience, skills and abilities, the electrical engineer can expect overtime to be paid at x1.5 over 40 hours and x2 on Sundays, with all expenses paid.
• Hours of work:
  Monday to Thursday: 8am - 5pm, finishing at 4.30pm on Fridays.
