At eXPD8, we’re looking for a Retail Merchandiser based in the Tesco Thorne Road Edenthorpe, DN3 2JE
area. You will be an integral part of a field‑based retail merchandising team, working on behalf of exciting household name brands. You will be responsible for ensuring fixtures are set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, and shelves are well‑stocked.
Confirmed working days/hours:
- Wednesdays – 5 hours during store opening hours (start time is flexible)
- Will also need to cover Express stores in postcode areas DN3/DN4/DN5
Plus ad hoc work as interested and agreed.
This role is for a new client with work starting from 1 March 2026. A full induction will be provided beforehand.
Responsibilities- Compliance and Standards – follow and stick to merchandising standards and guidelines, store policies, procedures and health & safety guidance.
- Planograms – implement planograms where provided to ensure consistency and compliance with merchandising standards.
- Product placement and replenishment – arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
- Promotional and point‑of‑sale setup – set up promotional displays and signage to effectively communicate prices, discounts and special offers.
- Communication and relationship building – build and maintain good working relationships with in‑store colleagues, particularly department and store managers.
- Feedback – provide accurate and timely feedback to client account teams via the feedback application as the eyes and ears in the stores.
- Experience of, or a passion for, merchandising, retail and/or customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to own work within set time frames and use initiative to find solutions.
- Commitment to delivering great standards and service for clients.
- Comfortable with manual handling (moving and arranging products from warehouse to shop floor).
- Willingness to accept home deliveries of point‑of‑sale or stock items for some visits (extra pay applies).
- Proficiency using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos and answer task questions.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
