Press Brake Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting up and operating press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Use basic maths to calculate dimensions, angles and tolerances for various projects
• Write or download folding programs for CNC press brakes
• Read and understand technical drawings and specifications
• Select the correct tooling for each job
• Quality control, Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, quality & adherence to standards
• Using hand tools and machinery safely
• Conduct routine inspections, cleaning and minor troubleshooting of the machinery
• Working closely with other team members in Fabrication and Production
• Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations

Experience

• Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator of in similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with tooling process and techniques related to sheet metal fabrication
• Technical skills, ability to read blueprints, understand metal properties, and use various tooling including hand tools
• A solid understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing setting
• Attention to detail, critical for precision & quality
• Good work ethic, reliable, punctual, hardworking, and a good team player
