Warehouse Supervisor / Operations Manager (3-6 Month Contract - Possible Permanent)

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 (Pro Rata)

Contract:

3-6 Months (with the potential to go permanent)

This is a key role in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and team-driven warehouse environment during a critical period of growth and transition. The role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a background in FMCG, logistics, or food service distribution, and who is comfortable managing small teams and supporting operational improvement initiatives.

• Lead and manage a team of 5-6 warehouse operatives, ensuring daily tasks are met with efficiency and accuracy
• Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound logistics activities
• Oversee stock management, inventory accuracy, and warehouse organisation
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures
• Collaborate with senior leadership and the team on day-to-day performance metrics
• Support ongoing project work focused on operational improvement or system/process changes
• Identify and address training or performance needs within the team

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader, or Operations Manager
• Strong leadership and communication skills - able to motivate and guide small teams
• Organised, proactive, and hands-on approach to problem-solving
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-critical logistics environment
• Project experience (e.g., warehouse setup, process change, or performance improvement) is highly desirable
• Able to commit to a 3-6 month contract with the potential for a longer-term or permanent role
