An exciting opportunity has arisen for Registered Nurses to join the Division of Medicine at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, working across Ward 24 and Ward 17.

Ward 24 specialises in gastroenterology and general medicine, providing care for patients with a range of acute and complex gastrointestinal conditions alongside broader medical needs. Ward 17 delivers care for patients with stroke, neurological and general medical conditions, offering a dynamic clinical environment that supports both acute management and ongoing recovery.

We are seeking compassionate, motivated nurses committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a rehabilitation setting. The role requires strong professional values, flexibility and the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team to support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals. Commitment to dignity, respect, equality and continuous improvement is essential.

Main duties of the job
  • The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a consistently high standard of care, demonstrating a kind and compassionate attitude towards patients, relatives and colleagues.
  • The postholder must demonstrate clinical expertise in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care using a holistic, person-centred approach.
  • The post holder must possess fundamental management and facilitation skills to promote multi-disciplinary team working and foster a supportive, learning environment.
  • As a registered nurse the post holder is expected to consistently act in accordance with the NMC Code.

Person Specification Knowledge & Experience
  • 12 months appropriate post registration experience
Qualifications & Training
  • Current NMC Registration
  • Up to date knowledge of professional issues
  • Minimum of degree/diploma qualification or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
  • Extended nursing skills
  • Completion of Preceptorship programme
