An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Adult Speech and Language Therapy team, providing high-quality services for patients with communication disorders and dysphagia across inpatient wards and outpatients at our two hospital sites.

You will work on a supportive and dedicated team.

The job:

• Assess, treat, and manage inpatients across a variety of wards, including AMU, Critical Care, Frailty, Dementia, ENT, Surgical, Cardiology, Orthopaedic and Respiratory.
• Support the Clinical Team Lead with operational management of the Adult SLT service.
• Work with patients with tracheostomy and head and neck cancer inpatients and outpatients as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Liaise with colleagues across Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and participate in regional Head and Neck MDT meetings.
• Treat and manage dysphonic outpatients.
• Deliver training and education to the wider MDT and provide clinical education to SLT students.
• Contribute to service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
