Senior Speech & Language Therapist – Adults

Are you an enthusiastic, organised, and proactive Speech and Language Therapist looking for your next challenge? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Adult Speech and Language Therapy team, providing high-quality services for patients with communication disorders and dysphagia across inpatient wards and outpatients at our two hospital sites.

The job:
- Assess, treat, and manage inpatients across a variety of wards, including AMU, Critical Care, Frailty, Dementia, ENT, Surgical, Cardiology, Orthopaedic and Respiratory.
- Support the Clinical Team Lead with operational management of the Adult SLT service.
- Work with patients with tracheostomy and head and neck cancer inpatients and outpatients as part of the multidisciplinary team.
- Liaise with colleagues across Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and participate in regional Head and Neck MDT meetings.
- Treat and manage dysphonic outpatients.
- Deliver training and education to the wider MDT and provide clinical education to SLT students.
- Contribute to service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
