Financial Accountant

Sharp Consultancy is delighted to be partnering with a respected service organisation based in Doncaster to recruit a Financial Accountant into a newly created role.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting. You will take ownership of month‑end and year‑end processes, prepare statutory accounts and forecasts, and drive continuous improvements across reporting and financial control frameworks.

• Full production of statutory accounts in accordance with relevant accounting principles and legislation
• Support the delivery of month‑end reporting, streamlining processes where necessary
• Management of cashflow processes to ensure operational objectives are met
• Production of annual budgets and business plans
• Creation of monthly forecast and responsibility for quarterly reforecasting process – reporting on variances for board members and other senior stakeholders
• Responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts including review of journal and GL balances
• Work closely with senior leaders to provide financial insight

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
