Robertson Recruitment are looking for a skilled and proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our clients engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production across the site. You will play a key role in minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working hands-on with both mechanical and electrical systems, and contributing to a high-performing maintenance team.

Working hours Three shift rotation 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm / 10pm-6am Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production and site equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively. Respond to breakdowns and support production teams to minimise downtime. Support installation, commissioning, and improvement of new and existing machinery. Ensure all work is carried out in line with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and update internal systems. Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to improve reliability and performance. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions where possible. Requirements Experience working as a Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical discipline).

Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and automated production lines is desirable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach. Good understanding of health and safety in an industrial environment.
