Ready to lead from the front and make a real impact on the environment? At Adler & Allan, we don’t just respond to pollution — we prevent it. Our teams protect aquatic, terrestrial and atmospheric environments across the UK, delivering specialist industrial and environmental services that keep people, businesses and ecosystems safe.
As our Environmental Services division continues to grow, we’re looking for a high‑calibre Industrial Services Supervisor to join us. If you thrive in fast‑paced environments, love leading teams, and take pride in doing things safely and to the highest standard, this is your next step.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be the driving force on site and in the depot — leading teams, planning operations, and ensuring every task is delivered safely, compliantly and professionally. No two days will look the same. You’ll be:
- Supervising industrial service operations including confined space entry, decontamination, hazardous material handling, HP/UHP water jetting, abrasive blasting, mechanical works, decommissioning and more.
- Producing and managing RAMS and safe systems of work.
- Leading spill and HAZMAT response teams during emergency callouts.
- Coordinating equipment, plant, vehicles and resources to keep operations running smoothly.
- Liaising with clients on site, identifying opportunities and representing the Adler & Allan brand with professionalism.
- Completing job documentation, reporting progress, and supporting operational planning.
- Ensuring vehicles, assets and the depot are maintained to the highest standard.
- Supporting colleagues, deputising for management when required, and participating in the on‑call rota.
This is a hands‑on leadership role where your expertise, judgement and initiative will shape the success of every project.
QualificationsWhat You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone with strong technical capability, proven supervisory experience, and a passion for safety and excellence. You’ll need:
- Solid experience in industrial cleaning, pollution control, spill response and hazardous material handling.
- Competency in confined space entry, rescue and management.
- Experience producing RAMS and managing safe systems of work.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial environments such as refineries, terminals or tank farms.
- IT literacy and excellent attention to detail.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including travel and nights away.
- A full UK driving licence.
Additional qualifications such as CCNSG, WJA, SMSTS/SSSTS, IOSH, abrasive blasting, HGV1 or ADR are highly advantageous.
