My client, a specialist sub contractor in the rail industry, is seeking a talented and motivated PWay Engineer to join their growing team. With a strong presence in the rail sector, they handle technically challenging projects, from high-precision calibration tracks to complex crane rail installations and heritage railways. They are renowned for their expertise in taking on the projects others can't, offering incredible variety and an exciting work environment.
As a PWay Engineer, you will be involved in a diverse range of projects, including standard track renewals, maintenance, and specialist installations. This is a hybrid role, with the office based in Doncaster but projects across the UK. You will be lodging away Monday to Thursday, with expenses covered (including a £30 meal allowance).

Role and Responsibilities:
Delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a wide range of rail infrastructure projects, including track renewals, S&C (Switch & Crossing), and specialist installations.
Competent in using a Trimble Total Station; experience with GPS/GNSS is a bonus.
Supporting the project delivery team by preparing WPPs (Work Package Plans) and TBs (Task Briefings).
Managing the technical aspects of track projects and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
Regular reporting on project progress and contributing to the continuous improvement of processes.
What You'll Need:
3-5 years working as a PWay Engineer, ideally with a background in track renewals and working your way up from a Trackman.
Proficiency with a Trimble Total Station; experience with GPS/GNSS is advantageous.
Valid PTS card
Full UK driving license is essential.
Experience with S&C (Switch & Crossing) and plain line is crucial.
