SEND Teaching Assistant – Specialist PMLD School
Location: Doncaster
Pay: £83–£100 per day, paid weekly via PAYE
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Start Date: Immediate
We’re working with a brilliant specialist school supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex medical and physical needs. They’re looking for a kind, patient, and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time.
This isn’t your typical classroom role. It’s about the little wins that mean the world, helping a pupil communicate, supporting them through their day, or simply being the calm, trusted adult they rely on.
It’s hands-on, meaningful work, and you’ll be part of a team that truly cares about every pupil’s progress.
What your day might look likeEvery day brings something new, but you’ll be:
- Supporting pupils with complex learning, physical, and medical needs
- Assisting with personal care, feeding, and mobility routines
- Using specialist equipment and communication tools (full training provided)
- Helping create a calm, safe, and sensory-friendly classroom
- Working alongside teachers and therapists to help pupils thrive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
