Are you a passionate and patient individual with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Doncaster area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who require additional support to reach their full potential.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans
  • Support children with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
  • Assist with personal care where required
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has experience working with children with SEN (school or care setting)
  • Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant – desirable but not essential)
  • Has an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
