SEN Teacher - Doncaster & Surrounding Areas

We are currently recruiting experienced SEN Teachers to work on a supply and cover basis in Doncaster and the surrounding areas.

About the Role

You will be working within mainstream schools, specialist provisions, or alternative settings, supporting pupils with a wide range of special educational needs. This role is ideal for teachers who are adaptable, confident, and committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils
• Differentiating content to support a range of abilities and learning styles
• Working closely with support staff, SENDCos, and external professionals
• Managing behaviour effectively using positive and proactive strategies
• Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
• Experience working with pupils with SEN (essential)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Flexibility to travel to schools across Doncaster and nearby areas
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Desirable Training / Experience

(Highly advantageous but not essential)

• Team Teach / Positive Handling
• Experience in Autism, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or complex needs settings
• Personal care or medical needs experience
• Speech and Language support training
• Moving & Handling or safeguarding training
