Volunteer Local Governor – Sir Thomas Wharton Academy
Volunteer Local Governor (Flexible hours with attendance at evening meetings – Half-Termly 5:30pm start, 7 meetings per year).
Maltby Learning Trust has a vacancy for a Local Governor to join the Academy Education Committee at Sir Thomas Wharton Academy. Governors are volunteers committed to improving outcomes for children and promoting high standards of educational achievement.
Responsibilities:
- Attend evening meetings (one per term, about 2 hours each), scheduled a year in advance.
- Participate in the Academy Education Committee alongside Staff, Parent/Carer, Community, Business/Education Governors and the Principal.
- Review information and reports related to the Academy.
Training for the role will be provided.
