Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Doncaster

Academics, acting as an agency, are recruiting a motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for flexible, temporary ongoing work within supportive and inclusive schools across Doncaster.

Flexible working pattern, temporary ongoing

Pay: £90 - £125 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)

Start Date:

ASAP or from a start date that suits you

As an HLTA, you will work alongside teaching staff to deliver high-quality lessons and targeted interventions. You'll support learning across a range of subjects and year groups, and may lead classes independently when required.

This position is ideal for someone with experience in education who holds a degree or Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification and is confident leading learning in the classroom.

• Deliver planned lessons and interventions to individuals and small groups.
• Lead full classes in the teacher's absence when required.
• Support the teacher in preparing learning materials and activities.
• Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning.
• Provide feedback on pupil progress to teachers and parents.
• Encourage a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

• Degree or Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to lead learning and work independently when required.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
