Purchasing Manager - SAS

We are seeking a positive, approachable, and experienced leader to head our Purchasing function in Doncaster. This role will work closely with other UK ASSA ABLOY companies at supplier level to ensure the most cost‑effective and efficient supply arrangements are achieved.

• Oversee the sourcing of all goods and services supplied to the business.
• Analyse spend data to identify and deliver cost‑saving opportunities.
• Negotiate supply agreements with nominated suppliers.
• Represent and enhance the ASSA ABLOY brand with suppliers and external partners.
• Contribute to the annual activity plan for the Purchasing department and manage day‑to‑day team workloads.
• Work collaboratively with Technical, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to support the development of existing and new products.
• Prepare procurement reports and present findings to wider teams when required.
• Ensure supplier compliance with the ASSA ABLOY Quality System.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practice procurement across the department.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a purchasing or procurement environment.
• Strong IT skills, including MS Office and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• CIPS or an equivalent professional qualification (desirable).

• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Confidence and resilience, with the ability to manage conflict and influence difficult stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
