What's the role?

SMS are currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join the team based down in Doncaster. The Administration Assistant will play a vital role within the team, providing high‑quality administrative support to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of day‑to‑day operations. This position is key in maintaining high service standards, ensuring that customers and clients consistently receive professional, compliant, and responsive support.

The post‑holder will contribute to the overall efficiency of the service by managing a range of administrative tasks, supporting colleagues, and helping to uphold robust processes and procedures.

This role is offered on a 9 month fixed-term contract and the working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working is also on offer, consisting of 2 days in the office and 3 days at home typically.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general administration support.
  • Managing and updating, day to day performance reports.
  • Carry out desktop audit and safety checks.
  • Note taking and record keeping.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information at all times in line with company policies.
  • Any other duties as required.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have/be:
  • Prior experience administration/assistant role.
  • Able to follow instructions and guidance.
  • Strong IT skills in Microsoft Packages including Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Excellent organisational skills including ability to manage time and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Thorough attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a group and on their own.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Positive attitude for greeting clients.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
