Junior​/Semi Senior Accountant

The Role

Brearley & Co are a leading independent firm of accountants who have been established for over 30 years with offices in Swinton, Doncaster, Dinnington and Barnsley.

The business is looking to recruit a Junior Accountant or Semi Senior Accountant to join our Doncaster office.

Due to the highly varied client base, the successful candidate will gain broad exposure across all areas of accounting, while working within a highly supportive environment.

Supporting the senior management team, duties will include the following:

• Preparation of Statutory accounts for Manager/Partner review
• Preparation of Personal Tax returns
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Preparation of Corporate Tax Returns
• Develop experience in the use of cloud accounting products

The successful applicants must have developed between 1 and 3 year’s experience working within the accountancy profession and will have developed experience for the preparation of accounts manager review stage.

We are ideally looking for an AAT level 2/3 applicant, applications from individuals who have developed suitable experience from within the accountancy profession but have decided not to pursue formal studies are also highly encouraged.

The business will provide a training mentor to help with your career development in day-to-day accounting activities. There is also funding beyond the completion of AAT for further ACCA studies.
