Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Line Maintenance International team as a Regional Maintenance Manager to be based in Doha, Qatar.

As a Regional Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance at the assigned stations meet the QR/QCAA/EASA PART-145 requirements and that they meet the Quality standards required by company policy and procedures. You will also be responsible for monitoring the station performance, invoices, agreements, approvals, spares and materials and all other related activities, and also to ensure all staff are adequately trained and developed to meet company maintenance requirements.

• Ensure that all maintenance including casualties on Qatar Airways Aircraft is carried out to the highest possible maintenance standards and safety in the most productive and cost-effective manner using all available resources at disposal.
• Responsible to ensure technical coverage at line stations by having contracted maintenance provider, Qatar Airways certifying staff based at station or by riding engineer within the area of responsibility.
• Monitor Qatar Airways line station activities and provide necessary instructions/guidance to Station Maintenance Managers and Duty Engineers to meet Qatar Airways operational requirements.
• Monitor and review the performance of contracted maintenance providers and provide feedback as and when required, if required make station visits.
• Ensure the maintenance agreements within the assigned region are strictly adhered to by the contracted provider.
• Oversee all the appropriate legislative and company procedures are adhered to in order to ensure that the company remains compliant and airworthy at the assigned stations.
• Monitor the billing and accuracy of the man-hour and material and equipment charges for the stations assigned to them.
• Manage and assess daily aircraft maintenance operations at the assigned stations to ensure on-time technical dispatch and that quality of aircraft maintenance services is maintained.
• Monitor the technical dispatch safety standard and incident/accident occurrence reports at the assigned stations.
• Monitor the self-handling line stations within the region, and ensure all the required resources, tooling, GSE, spares, materials, training, approval, and adequate facilities are all available and well maintained.

• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Trade or vocational aircraft maintenance qualifications or Degree (B.Eng., BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering with minimum 9 years of job-related experience.
• Must hold ICAO type II aircraft maintenance engineer license.
• Minimum 5 years management experience within Line Maintenance International within large Airline preferred.
• Sound Aeronautical and Airline background with detailed knowledge of IATA/IATP rules related to the standard technical handling agreement and pool groups.
• Detailed knowledge of air legislation, particularly ICAO, QCAA, EASA and FAA Regulations.
• High level of negotiation and tactical decision-making skills.
• Ability to plan and priorities sequential completion of task and process for effective time management and revenue loss.
• Good English communication skills both written and verbal.
