Network & Pre-Operations Controller
About the role
Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations team – Network Operations as a Network and Pre‑Operations Controller to be based in Doha, Qatar.
Specific responsibilities for the role include- Continually monitor and take proactive actions to avoid or minimize disruptions to flight schedules within the IOC operations window, ensuring a safe and secure operation while implementing solutions that deliver brand continuity and protection, and promoting the most advantageous economic outcome.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable business and industry specific regulations and legislative requirements, as prescribed in the IOC and Flight Operations Manual (Part
A). - Monitor and recommend plans to recover irregular operations efficiently with the most favorable outcome, taking into consideration economic, brand value and operational efficiency.
- Proactively monitor and analyze all available information to pre-empt and minimize or avoid operational disruptions.
- Support, continually monitor and analyze the operations of Qatar Airways Group flights within the IOC pre‑operations window, including new aircraft deliveries, inaugural flights, maintenance positioning flights, passenger and freighter aircraft charters, ad‑hoc requirements such as aircraft displays for air shows, crisis exercises and base training, functional check flights and taxi tests, etc.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Relevant College or University qualification with 5 years of job‑related experience.
- Basic knowledge of Flight Dispatch functions, including reading weather and NOTAMs.
- Knowledge in scheduling systems such as Netline/AIMS.
- Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of key stakeholder functions including, but not limited to, cabin services, flight operations, safety and finance.
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and IT skills.
- High‑level problem‑solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written English).
