Job Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for managing the operation of security systems, the security control room, and ensuring that security systems, procedures and other guidelines are implemented and comply with standards. The role includes supervising onsite resources to maintain adequate levels of physical security at all times.

Main Responsibilities
  • Shareholder & Financial:
    Ensure that all QNB premises in Qatar are secure to prevent losses, implement KPI’s and best practices for branches security, promote cost consciousness and efficiency to minimise cost and waste, and optimise benefits for the bank.
  • Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
  • Customer (Internal & External):
    Supervise the provision of security services to all QNB premises in Qatar, assist customers with queries on bank products and seek solutions to their requests, maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments to achieve improvements in turn‑around time.
  • Build and maintain strong/effective relationships with related departments/units to achieve the Group’s objectives.
  • Provide timely and accurate data to external/internal auditors, compliance, financial control and risk when required.
  • Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
    Supervise and oversee static and mobile guarding activities, monitor all security operations to ensure compliance with QNB policy and Qatar law, monitor guard posts to ensure they are manned as per roster, maintain good housekeeping and proper hand‑over of shift systems.
  • Monitor that security staff conduct their work in a safe and responsible manner and report deficiencies to the Security Officer.
  • Receive and review incident reports from guard forces on labour unrest, signs of damage/theft, intrusion or hazards and inform the Security Officer and Security Operations Centre accordingly.
  • Institute contingency plans, ensure that correct procedures are followed and control the situation until relieved by the Manager, making tactical decisions and assigning staff in response.
  • Ensure physical security equipment is operational and that personal equipment is accounted for; report deficiencies to the Manager and the Technical Projects team.
  • Perform on‑site remedial or on‑job training, compile reports on security drills and exercises, conduct security information meetings – “Tool Box Talks” with all staff on shift.
  • Display customer service skills, conflict resolution, negotiating, dealing, making decisions and solving problems.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance of security policies and procedures in all QNB premises.
  • Conduct routine inspections of branches, offices and ATMs to ensure compliance of security procedures.
  • Coordinate with security guarding supervisors and SOC supervisors on security issues to derive appropriate solutions.
