Category Sales Specialist - Seafoods

Chef Middle East is looking for Category Sales Specialist – Seafood to drive growth within the seafood portfolio. This role will focus on expanding and strengthening relationships with existing customers by leading and supporting collaborative sales initiatives, with the objective of growing the seafood category.

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with overall commercial objectives.
• Monitor category performance, analyze sales data, and implement initiatives to improve revenue and margins.
• Optimize product assortment based on customer needs, market trends, and seasonal demand.

• Work closely with Supply Chain to forecast demand and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Minimize waste, shrinkage, and stockouts, particularly for perishable products.
• Ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.

• Ensure consistent communication between Sales and Category teams to drive revenue and margin growth.
• Coordinate with Operations, Finance and Commercial teams to ensure efficient product flow.
• Support new product launches and customer-driven initiatives.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging products, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide insights and recommendations to strengthen category positioning.

• Bachelor’s degree or specialization in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Food Science, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in category management, buying, or sales within FMCG, food service, or retail (proteins/seafood preferred).
• Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation skills.
• Experience working with perishable goods is highly desirable.
• Must be familiar with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience working with chefs or hospitality customers is a strong advantage.
• Must have a valid Qatar driving license.
