Sales Manager - Classifieds
As a Sales Manager - Classifieds, you will be responsible for building and managing a team of Sales Consultants/ Supervisors while consistently training and developing them. You will handle tasks related to managing the sales team, setting team targets, forecasting revenue, coordinating with cross‑functional stakeholders, conducting intensive daily reviews with the team, scheduling meetings with clients, providing feedback after meetings, and ensuring that the sales team is well equipped to perform their jobs effectively.
You will also track sales performance metrics and report these results to senior management.
- Manage a sales team and provide leadership, training, and coaching on sales techniques, products, upsells, and cross‑sells.
- Plan and direct sales team training on CRM.
- Develop a sales strategy to achieve organisational sales goals and revenues.
- Set individual and monthly sales targets for the sales team.
- Achieve monthly sales targets by delivering sales from both personal and group accounts.
- Generate leads and prospects to meet the parameters for quarterly sales production review.
- Recruit, develop, and train new sales agents.
- Track, collate, and interpret sales figures and reporting.
- Ensure members of the sales team have the necessary resources to perform properly.
- Monitor budgets and track progress.
- Monitor team performance and motivate them to achieve team and individual targets.
- Track and maintain records of team sales, payments, and account reviews.
- Source feedback to marketing, operations, and tech teams for enhancing product effectiveness and addressing client issues.
- Collect customer feedback and market research and channel it internally for effective measures and follow‑ups.
- Verify agency data/numbers in the respective area to analyse growth opportunities and determine recruiting needs.
- Establish, maintain, and expand the customer base through effective team management and allocate new agencies to the existing team.
- Track agency pools and verify agency data in their area.
- Perform regular field visits.
- Bachelor's degree in sales, business administration, or related field.
- A valid license is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of sales experience in sales, trade marketing, or route‑to‑market understanding.
- Minimum of 3 years managing a sales team.
- Strong knowledge of the local market.
- Strong knowledge of different sales techniques and pipeline management.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
