Directly report to:
Sous Chef/ Head Chef.
Job Summary:
As a Line Cook/ Commis Chef, you are responsible for preparing and presenting high quality dishes to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Line Cook/ Commis Chef will also be required to prepare all mis-en-place and contribute to departmental targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Work in close cooperation with all kitchen and service employees. Work as per duty schedule and shifts. Perform all tasks as per given instructions. Ensure minimum wastage, breakage and spoilage.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
1. Ensure consistent great food production, in line with the high-quality standards expected by Company standards.
2. Contribute to Kitchen revenue through effective food cost control.
3. Provide support to the Kitchen Team.
4. Prepare and present high-quality dishes within company guidelines.
5. Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination.
6. Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus.
7. Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
8. Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues.
9. Comply with Company security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation.
10. Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organised at all times.
11. Attend and contribute to all staff meetings, departmental trainings and hotel initiated trainings. Attend all required trainings as described by the department.
12. Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.

2. Comply with company grooming standards at all time to portray a professional image of self and company.
3. Comply with time and attendance policies set by the company.
4. Actively participate in training and development program and maximize opportunity for self-development.
5. Demonstrates understanding and awareness of all procedures for health, Hygiene and fire life and safety.
6. Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.
7. Comply with company code of conduct.
8. Perform all tasks as assigned by supervisor.
9. Ensure all incidents, accidents are logged in and brought to your superior.
