A royal household in Doha is seeking a skilled and reliable Private Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional, family‑style cuisine to the highest standard. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing culinary team during an exciting new chapter in the household’s kitchen, as they establish new leadership and vision.
As Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in daily food preparation, kitchen operations, and team coordination. You’ll work closely with the newly appointed Head Chef and Executive Chef, gaining valuable experience in a high‑profile environment while contributing your creativity and skills to the overall success of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Head Chef in daily meal preparation and kitchen leadership
- Execute a wide range of global cuisines
- Ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standard in a family‑style format
- Take the lead in the kitchen during the Head Chef’s absence
- Assist with menu planning, stock control, and inventory management
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety protocols at all times
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed
- Support the team during special events and occasions, with flexible working hours
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a luxury hotel, or fine‑dining restaurant
- Minimum of 2 years Private House experience within an UHNW setting
- Well‑rounded culinary skills and passion for international cuisine
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced, high‑standard environment
- A proactive, can‑do attitude and willingness to learn from senior chefs
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
- Preferably fluent in English (other languages a plus)
