QA ENGINEER

Primary Purpose of the Job

To provide expert guidance and support to the Drilling & Completions Department in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Management Systems aligned with international standards and Qatar Energy’s strategic objectives.

• Management Systems Implementation & Maintenance:
  Provide specialist advice on the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 22301 standards, ensuring alignment with Qatar Energy’s HSE, business excellence, and performance improvement goals.

• Audit & Management Review Planning:
  Develop and manage the annual internal audit and Management Review Meeting (MRM) plans for the Drilling & Completions Department in compliance with Qatar Energy, ISO, and OHSAS requirements.

• Audit Coordination & Support:
  Collaborate with Corporate HSE & Quality departments and support the Assistant Manager, Drilling Assurance & HSE, in organizing external surveillance audits. Facilitate efficient audit execution and ensure timely communication and resolution of non-conformities.

• Internal Audits Execution:
  Conduct internal audits and support internal audit teams by coordinating interviews, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring effective identification and follow-up of audit findings.

• Corrective Action Management:
  Assist department personnel in developing corrective action plans that comply with Management System requirements. Coordinate with the Corporate Quality Department to ensure timely closure of actions.

• Quality Objectives & Performance Monitoring:
  Support the Assistant Manager, Drilling Assurance & HSE, in setting and monitoring quality objectives and targets for the Drilling Engineering Section. Prepare and submit quarterly performance reports to the Planning & Contracts Section (UDE/2).

• Management Review Documentation:
  Prepare comprehensive documentation and reports for the annual Management Systems Review Meetings, ensuring accurate representation of system performance and improvement initiatives.

• Training & Awareness:
  Organize and deliver in-house awareness sessions on QHSE and Business Continuity Management (BCM) systems to enhance staff understanding and compliance. Provide ongoing support to ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement.

• Information Management:
  Serve as the focal point for the dissemination and management of Management Systems-related information. Ensure timely communication of updates and provide recommendations for implementation and follow-up.

• Documentation Control:
  Support the Assistant Manager, Drilling Assurance & HSE, in maintaining quality control over all Management System documentation, including document management, revision control, and records management to ensure data integrity and performance tracking.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 10 years of technical experience in the oil and gas industry or a related field, with at least 5 years of direct experience in Management Systems.
• Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001 by a recognized certifying body.
• Proven experience and formal training in management systems auditing, statistical analysis, data interpretation, and performance reporting.
