We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC Doha, Qatar for a:
Senior Quality Inspector

Basic function:
Oversee the quality activities for E&C and FOPS entities, confirm the fabricator complies with the requirements to the fabricator QMS documents / Contract / COMPANY standards / International Standards. Ensure that all interfaces with relevant parties are correctly managed.

• Execute inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities at the site.
• Issue the relevant Quality Records and verify conformity of work to specified Quality Requirements; document inspections, controls, and issue nonconformance reports when necessary.
• Surveil welding parameters and consumables during installation/construction activities, supervising welding operations.
• Review welding procedures and welder qualifications to ensure correct and approved procedures are used.
• Check availability and suitability of filler material, preheating, welding, heat treatment, bevels, and extent of repairs; take corrective actions and maintain heat treatment record diagrams.
• Perform pipe line‑up checks, ensuring all installed pipe/fittings meet correct specifications and material traceability requirements.
• Conduct visual inspections and dimensional compliance checks against drawings.
• Monitor welding repairs, accept/approve NDT inspection reports, and perform radiographic film reviews.
• Check readiness of NDT equipment and ensure all welding, heat treatment, hardness testing, inspection, and non‑destructive testing comply with relevant codes and specifications.
• Collect and manage documents certifying tests, controls, and inspection records, ensuring a complete and accurate “As Built” package.
• Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan by contractors where applicable.
• Examine work in progress visually and supervise repair procedures effectively.
• Review welding requirements for field‑erected structures, vessels, tanks, boilers, and other process plants.
• Provide background on E&I works installation scope.

Ideally you will have graduated with a minimum of Higher Secondary School Education plus a three‑year technical diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent).

Relevant

Work Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in planning and integrated activities in offshore level on‑field equipment in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.

You are fluent in English with both written and verbal communication skills.

Good interpersonal and organizational skills, a solid level of computer literacy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.
