Job SummaryThe PR Specialist will support the Ministry's communications and media relations activities, ensuring consistent and high-quality delivery of public relations outputs. The role involves coordinating with agencies, managing media engagement, overseeing bilingual communications content, and ensuring alignment with ministry operations and stakeholder requirements. The candidate will help maintain effective messaging, strong media presence, and reputational readiness for major events and initiatives.
MandatoryRequirements & Qualification
Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in public relations, media relations, or communications, preferably supporting international events, conferences, or government initiatives

- Media relations and PR campaign coordination
- Bilingual communications development (Arabic & English)
- Content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing
- Social media coordination and communications monitoring tools
- Microsoft Office, Teams, and Share Point
- Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken)
- Strong understanding of the Qatari media landscape
- Proven experience managing external agencies and communication vendors
- Ability to manage structured briefing, approvals, and stakeholder coordination processes
- Oversee the delivery of PR communications for the Ministry, ensuring alignment with priorities, timelines, and stakeholder requirements.
- Manage day-to-day coordination with external partners including PR agencies, social media agencies, production vendors, and web support teams.
- Coordinate internal inputs and approvals for bilingual communication materials including press releases, media advisories, FAQs, briefing packs, and social content.
- Oversee media relations activities, coordinate responses to media inquiries, and support spokesperson preparation and interview readiness.
- Ensure consistent messaging across press, website, and social media channels while maintaining quality and compliance with ministry communication guidelines.
- Supervise production of creative and audiovisual assets including photography, video clips, captions, and media-ready content.
- Coordinate with event, protocol, operations, and venue teams to ensure communications activities align with event schedules and stakeholder engagements.
- Monitor media coverage and sentiment and support issue-response readiness in coordination with leadership.
