Position: Temporary Public Relations Manager - Volkswagen | Volkswagen Group Middle East, Dubai, UAE (6 Months

Volkswagen Group Middle East is seeking an experienced Temporary Public Relations Manager to lead and drive public relations activities for the Volkswagen brand across the GCC region.

This role will play a critical part in strengthening brand presence, shaping reputation, and accelerating brand growth through strategic PR initiatives, influencer engagement, and media relations. Working closely with internal teams, agencies, and regional stakeholders, you will ensure consistent, impactful, and innovative communications aligned with Volkswagen’s brand vision.

MAIN GOALS & OBJECTIVES
  • Lead and manage PR activities across the GCC to enhance and grow Volkswagen brand presence.
  • Build, manage, and nurture strong relationships with social media influencers, auto influencers, and journalists across all markets.
  • Act as the primary brand lead for influencer engagement and advocacy.
  • Drive brand growth through strategic PR, media, and influencer-led initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES PR Strategy Development & Execution
  • Develop and execute a long‑term PR strategy aligned with Volkswagen brand and business objectives across the GCC.
  • Ensure PR campaigns position Volkswagen as an industry leader, strengthening brand reputation and visibility.
  • Monitor industry, media, and cultural trends to ensure PR strategies remain innovative, relevant, and effective.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all PR and communications activities for the Volkswagen brand.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, Aftersales, Events, and Executive teams to ensure aligned messaging and brand consistency.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on PR opportunities, risks, and reputation management.
Influencer & Media Relations
  • Build and maintain high‑level relationships with key social media influencers, automotive influencers, and journalists across the GCC.
  • Leverage influencer and media partnerships to drive positive brand coverage and advocacy.
  • Lead and manage influencer engagement strategy, acting as the primary point of contact for all collaborations.
Agency & Vendor Management
  • Lead and manage the external PR agency, ensuring strong performance, accountability, and delivery against objectives.
  • Oversee PR budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and strong return on investment.
  • Ensure all agency deliverables meet Volkswagen’s quality standards and timelines.
Events & Content Strategy
  • Collaborate with the Event Marketing Manager to deliver high‑impact media launches, influencer‑led events, and branded experiences.
  • Drive innovative content strategies that increase engagement and brand visibility across traditional and digital channels.
Brand Growth & Market Expansion
  • Lead initiatives to grow brand awareness, relevance, and brand love across the GCC.
  • Develop and execute market‑specific PR strategies tailored to local audiences, media landscapes, and cultural nuances.
KEY COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • University degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of PR and communications experience, including leadership responsibility, ideally within automotive or related industries
  • Proven success in developing and executing regional or global PR strategies
  • Extensive experience working with influencers, journalists, and PR agencies in the GCC
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent project management abilities, with experience managing multiple high‑profile initiatives
  • Fluency in English (Arabic proficiency is highly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the GCC media landscape, culture, and consumer behavior
  • Demonstrated ability to manage significant budgets and deliver cost‑effective PR campaigns

  • Contract Duration: 6 months
  • Start Date: 01 April
