Tech Cell Engineer Level II - Cabin & IFE Management

About the role

You will be responsible to Facilitate the review, evaluation and distribution of System related activities and tasks in Cabin and IFE Defect control/TECH Cell.

• Evaluating the incoming Deferred Defects (DDS), Troubleshooting Recommendations (TSRs) and TECH Cell Support Tasks from external requests (Line, Light and Heavy etc.).
• Preparation and distribution of System Serviceability and Availability reports, Management Reports for all Cabin-IFEC system on Qatar Airways Aircraft fleet type in order to set the trend and the performance of the same.
• Knowledge and expertise of Data sources such as ERP system, Vendor BITE Tool and other Technical/Operational IT Platforms which are used for management decision making and vendor performance review.
• Supporting Production Planning and control CB and IFE by providing technical task review feedback request for accomplishment feasibility of Complex Tasks, Major Modifications and/or First‑Time tasks, to ensure sufficient resources, parts, materials and logistics are available.
• Briefing the Senior management, Managers on regular basis on respective aircrafts System DDs/TSRs and any pre‑dock‑in / pre‑arrival critical requirements.
• Highlighting any system difficulties and events affecting previous Maintenance for any potential risk in the upcoming maintenance.
• Analyzing current and past aircraft check data (e.g. New Mods, Major Rectifications and Critical Defects etc.) for case study and future applications.

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with minimum rating 4 years’ experience in Defect control and Tech Cell support functions.
• Minimum of 04 years' experience in Production as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (EN. 01) and holds a company authorization for QR Fleet Type Rating.
• Holds an ICAO type I License.
• Good knowledge of Aircraft Cabin/IFE and connectivity systems, maintenance environment constraints as well as aircraft maintenance data.
• Good understanding of Part M and Part‑145 Regulations and functions.
• Project management and execution skills.
• Good background in using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excelుస్త, and PowerPoint, Power BI for dashboard presentation).
• Good technical report writing skills.
• Excellent communication skills and problem‑solving approach.
• Ability to lead a team and guide through the processes and changes of the same.
• Any additional courses related to Aircraft Maintenance Planning, LEAN Fundamentals, and Safety Management System is preferred.
