Efficiently oversee daily operations of Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) Operations Control Centre within agreed standards and financial targets. Assist QAS Airside Duty Managers and terminal operations Duty Manager in achieving safe, secure on‑time turnaround of all aircraft according to guidelines provided by Customer airlines. Ensure employee productivity and monitor consistency of all processes involved in live resource allocation.
Operational- Provide significant contribution in the identification and development of operational plans to improve airside and landside performance and position Qatar Aviation Services as an innovative, best‑practice ground handler.
- Analyze the shift demand and check the resource plan with line section allocators/Officer. Plan and adapt operational live resource allocation and implementation based on analysis and real‑time environment.
- Disseminate information pertaining to shift requirement through staff briefings in the Operations department to ensure all staff during the shift are updated with real‑time operational requirements.
- Plan and coordinate staff resources required to meet Airport Emergency response activities to facilitate seamless function of Operations.
- Investigate, conclude and report incident(s) and accident(s) involving QAS resources as well as instances of service lapse, provide final findings and recommendations to Senior Management.
- Constly review and analyze operational requirements and utilize operational experience to assess the situation, prioritize, and make knowledgeable decisions to appropriately elevate issues.
- Provide effective ideas to the Line Manager and QAS Management and suggestions based on facts and analysis related to safety, operational effectiveness, efficiency, potential profit, cost‑benefit and support of Qatar Airways.
- Oversee and provide feedback on all operational activities through available resources.
- Be highly aware of day‑to‑day costs and actively supervise costs and budget effectively through predefined department KPIs and budget analysis reports.
- Perform other department duties related to the position as directed by the Head of the Department; responsible to ensure employees at all levels understand work health and safety requirements and expectations through provision of relevant QR Group induction, information, instruction, training and supervision.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with minimum 4 years of job‑related experience.
- Experience in ground handling operations or airline environment.
- Experience in managing control centre function.
- Strong and decisive leadership style who can work collaboratively and effectively with multiple stakeholders and deliver at pace.
- Expert and sound knowledge of ground handling operational procedures.
- Demonstrate the highest level of integrity, equality and respect.
- Ability to communicate effectively, with clear, concise and consistent messages.
- Understands the value of high customer service delivered with a cost‑conscious culture.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Managerial skills – ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skill.
