MMHE Supervisor
The MMHE Supervisor is responsible for the efficient management, supervision and training of personnel assigned to MMHE which inspects, maintains and services assigned non-powered Munitions Material Handling Equipment.
The employee is a first-line supervisor of production and, as such, is the technical advisor to the Section Chief and Munitions Department Superintendent to ensure MMHE meets all contractual requirements in accordance with the Performance Work Statement.
Key tools include IMDS, DPAS M&U and MC2. The position may also require participation in explosives operations and involves operating the Theater Integrated Combat Munitions System (TICMS).
Principal Accountabilities- Ensures all USAF and host nation explosives safety, AFOSH and security standards are implemented.
- Takes necessary control and timely response actions during emergency events.
- Develops the annual master and monthly MMHE maintenance control plan in accordance with contractual standards.
- Analyzes MMHE production schedule for compliance with established quality processes.
- Identifies potential maintenance and equipment problems and recommends solutions.
- Ensures availability, currency and consistent use of publications essential to the Element's needs.
- Reviews and submits recurring MMHE deliverables in accordance with PWS and Munitions SOP delivery schedule.
- Documents equipment records in accordance with T.O. 00-20-1; processes appropriate transactions in applicable Munitions Information Systems (MIS).
- Manages the reconditioning, repair and corrosion control program for assigned MMHE within technical standards.
- Plans actions for MMHE to be in maximum deep storage, ready‑to‑ship configuration, including stacking of trailers.
- Coordinates with the applicable Supply section to resolve any MMHE serviceability and accountability issues.
- Advise Munitions Control and Section Chief of job status, scheduling delays and resource shortfalls.
- Supervises assigned workforce, including foreign nationals, providing clear instructions and direction about assigned MMHE production efforts.
- Evaluates skills, aptitudes and proficiency of assigned personnel to develop work‑center training requirements and ensures effective training programs are instituted.
- Enforces compliance of supply discipline in accordance with AFI 23‑101 and Amentum SOPs for bench/operating stocks.
- Supervises the management of tool storage, CTKs and special equipment for compliance actions.
- Oversees compliance of shelf‑life items (lubricants, paint, etc.) to include availability of SDS for assets.
- Ensures all personnel are trained and certified to use industrial training and certification according to standards.
- Enforces operators' pre‑use and maintenance actions on light vehicles, hoists and handling equipment.
- Performs entry‑controller duties as required.
- Works necessary hours, including stand‑by duties, to support mission requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Works in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.
- Intermediate knowledge of the USAF Supply and Tech Order systems or US service equivalent.
- Proficient in the use of personal computers, Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Required to operate material handling equipment.
- Possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of eight years' experience with Military Munitions.
- Minimum of three years combined supervisory experience in USAF munitions/MMHE activities or US service equivalent.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.
- Required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for the tasks being performed.
- Physically capable of performing all required duties; able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Normal color perception and depth of vision required.
