Job Description

The Recreation Manager is responsible for the strategic leadership, day-to-day management, and continuous enhancement of all recreational facilities and services at Raffles & Fairmont Doha. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, brand alignment, and revenue optimization across recreation offerings, while maintaining the highest standards of luxury, safety, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of all recreational facilities, including swimming pools, fitness center, and outdoor activities.
  • Ensure facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation in line with Raffles & Fairmont brand guidelines.
  • Develop and implement SOPs, policies, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and consistency.
  • Deliver personalized, intuitive, and anticipatory service reflective of Raffles & Fairmont luxury standards.
  • Proactively engage with guests to ensure satisfaction, handle feedback, and resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with Spa, Rooms, F&B, and Concierge teams to curate bespoke recreational experiences and guest programs.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire the recreation team to achieve service excellence and high performance.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate team members, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and compliance with labor regulations.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and cost controls to meet financial objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize revenue through programming, memberships, activities, and partnerships.
  • Monitor KPIs, prepare reports, and present performance updates to senior management.
  • Ensure full compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and Accor policies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and emergency drills.
  • Ensure all certifications, licenses, and lifeguard requirements are current and maintained.
  • Design and implement innovative recreational programs, seasonal activities, and wellness initiatives aligned with the Doha market and luxury guest expectations.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and introduce best practices to elevate the overall offering.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Sports & Recreation, Leisure Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of managerial experience in recreation or leisure operations within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proven financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.
  • Excellent communication skills in English;
    Proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
  • CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications preferred.
