The Facility Manager is responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of all company facilities. This role ensures that buildings, utilities, and support services are well maintained, cost-effective, and compliant with health, safety, and regulatory standards, while supporting smooth day-to-day business operations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and utilities.
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and other systems.
- Coordinate and supervise vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies.
- Develop and manage facility budgets, control costs, and approve expenditures.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify risks, defects, and improvement opportunities.
- Handle space planning, office moves, renovations, and fit‑out projects.
- Manage security, cleaning, waste management, and landscaping services.
- Maintain accurate documentation, contracts, service records, and compliance reports.
- Act as the primary point of contact for facility‑related issues and emergencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in facilities or property management.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, and service‑level agreements (SLAs).
- Proficiency in MS Office and facility management systems (CMMS preferred).
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Budgeting and cost‑control expertise.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.
