As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo Team in Doha as Cargo Flight Planning Centre Manager.
About the roleIn this role, you will be responsible for managing and driving strategies and activities of Cargo Flight Planning Centre (FPC), ensuring close collaboration with Cargo Inventory Management and Cargo Hub Operations. The role will also lead, develop and motivate a team of Analysts who are responsible to execute the functions related to FPC. Initiate and drive process and system related enhancements to improve quality of activities and productivity within the department.
DailyResponsibilities
- Develop monthly or seasonal strategies with the Cargo Inventory Management Team to align with overall Revenue Management goals.
- Lead analysts in implementing Flight Planning Centre strategies and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to department leadership.
- Oversee timely release and execution of flight booking lists and manage offload queues to resolve impacted shipments within agreed timelines.
- Ensure Hub Operations processes are followed to maximize cargo capacity and minimize offloads.
- Communicate and coordinate change initiatives with stakeholders outside the Flight Planning Centre.
- Drive continuous process improvements and ensure swift adoption of new technologies.
- Update auto Flight Booking List (FBL) system parameters regularly to support automation.
- Identify process anomalies affecting FPC or KPIs and follow up with Automation team for resolution.
- Submit weekly or ad hoc performance reports to management, highlighting issues and action plans.
- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 6 years of related experience.
- Specialization in revenue management and analysis.
- Experience in cargo sales, revenue management and/or pricing, operations or network planning.
- Experience with in a managerial or supervisory role in airline or freighter forwarding.
