The Head of EPMO will lead the bank’s enterprise‑wide program management function, ensuring successful delivery of strategic IT initiatives and business process transformation projects. This role is pivotal in the bank’s digital and operational transformation agenda, enabling the bank to achieve efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage in Qatar’s dynamic financial services market.

• Strategic Leadership
  • Partner with Business Leaders/Sponsors and Senior Technology Leaders, to develop strategic roadmaps and deliver large/complex technology programs, ensuring end‑to‑end targeted business outcomes are met.
  • Oversee all programs and projects within the specified time frame and budget, interpreting and translating strategic business requirements into EPMO services and projects.
  • Ensure sound project governance across the portfolio, including through relevant Steering Committees and within the bank’s overall governance framework.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on program priorities and risks.
• Program Management and Project Execution
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of IT and associated business process change projects: requirements gathering, solution design, architecture alignment, development, testing, deployment, and post‑deployment validation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Governance & Reporting
  • Manage preparation and provision of management dashboards, executive reports and presentations to facilitate decision‑making.
  • Administer the Operations and Technology Committee, a senior executive committee overseeing the strategic project portfolio.
  • Embed a culture of proactive, disciplined project management, with early risk recognition and escalation, and effective coaching of the EPMO team.
  • Ensure regulatory recommendations are implemented effectively, including ongoing measurement and monitoring.
  • Ensure Internal Audit, Legal, Compliance, and Operational Risk recommendations are implemented.
• Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with product teams, business units, IT, risk, compliance, and operations to ensure delivery alignment.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third‑party service providers.
  • Drive change management and communication strategies to support adoption.
• Team Leadership
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing program management team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop talent pipelines and succession planning for critical roles.
• Key Competencies
  • Address conflicts appropriately and build productive partnerships with business partners and stakeholders to achieve targeted end‑to‑end business results.
  • Understand financial services business and technology.
  • Manage a range of project types and complex business initiatives and change programs.
  • Apply performance management frameworks and tools in the delivery of business objectives.
  • Juggle different projects and priorities, delivering high quality outcomes under pressure.

• Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent.
  • Certification in Project Management is strongly preferred.
• Required Experience
  • Extensive leadership and management experience.
  • Experience delivering major transformation programs within a rigorous project management framework in financial services.
