Paralegal Consultant

The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in drafting contracts, amendments, addendums and associated documents for contracts related to Goods and Services.

They will be required to negotiate terms and conditions with 3rd parties based on CLIENT and 3rd party contractual terms.

• Contribute to the review and revision of new and existing contracts for the Group Procurement department
• Work closely with divisions to support the negotiation, preparation and finalization of contracts for 3rd parties
• Acting as liaison amongst all parities for scheduling and sharing information relating to contracts

• Assist the members of the sourcing and contract team by providing well-researched legal advice to Group's 3rd party contracts where applicable laws, regulations or facts are unclear and conflicting to ensure the Groups legal position is protected.
• Contribute to the preparation of the weekly, quarterly and annual returns for executive management on the activities in Group Procurement
• Organize and maintain contractual documents
• Meet with suppliers and negotiate contract terms on CLIENT behalf with support from the buyers and Stakeholders within the Sourcing & Contract team
• Liaise with Group Legal to ensure CLIENT standard terms are understood and not deviated from
• Organizing and managing contractual documents including the creation of tracking sheets and ensuring final signed agreement are stored in the contract management system
• Compiling information and preparing reports, to track progress of contract renewals, terminations etc
• Possess superior knowledge of contract law, with experience of reviewing contracts under Qatar law

• Ensure high standards of confidentiality and ethics to safeguard commercially sensitive information.

• Preferably university degree (preferably in Law)
• Must possess at least 2 years of experience performing the role of a paralegal as set out in this document.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic (preferred).
