Job Summary
- Manage and optimize databases within ICT systems for sports facilities and venues ensuring data integrity and availability during both mega sports events and non-event periods.
- Design and implement hybrid database architectures across on-premises and multi-cloud environments (Azure GCP) using SQL Server Oracle MySQL Postgre
SQL. - Install configure and maintain database management systems for optimal performance and compliance with organizational policies.
- Oversee centralized and distributed database systems ensuring synchronization replication and high availability across datacenter and cloud platforms.
- Lead capacity planning performance tuning and data lifecycle management including backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Support databases utilized in sports venues and events ensuring resilience and high availability for critical applications.
- Monitor database performance troubleshoot bottlenecks and ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Manage user roles permissions and implement data protection measures such as encryption masking and auditing.
- Automate routine database operations using scripting languages (Power Shell Bash Python).
- Perform regular audits to maintain data integrity security and compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations processes and procedures.
- Conduct incident management including investigation impact assessment stakeholder communication resolution and providing Level 2/3 support.
- Lead problem management activities such as root cause analysis trend analysis fix implementation and SOP development.
- Oversee change management processes: impact analysis communication testing deployment rollback planning and post-implementation review.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams service providers and vendors to resolve database and infrastructure issues.
- Ensure high availability configurations (e.g. SQL Always On Distributed Availability Groups PaaS services) in both data center and cloud environments.
- Manage Windows Server administration Active Directory configuration and integration with database services.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Possess deep knowledge of ITIL processes hybrid cloud architectures and integration.
- Hold relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Database Administrator Associate Google Professional Data Engineer).
- Exhibit excellent communication interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- 8 years experience in database administration (data center and cloud environments).
- Expertise in SQL Server (must) Postgre
SQL MySQL Oracle and hybrid cloud platforms. - Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Required certifications in Azure and Google database/cloud technologies.
- Strong background in Windows Failover Clustering Active Directory and related IT infrastructure.
