Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations Support Services team as a Senior Data Science Analyst to be based in Doha, Qatar.

• Use a combined knowledge of data science, statistics, machine learning and optimization techniques to enhance Flight Operations and Technical Operations (CAMO) analytics capabilities.
• Develop and maintain strong business acumen within the Flight Operations and Technical Operations (CAMO) analytical scope, especially in the areas of on-time performance, flight schedule, predictive maintenance and impact on operational costs.
• Responsible for delivering multiple, highly complex and advanced analyses in a timely, efficient manner in collaboration with Flight and technical Operations’ teams to understand contextual problems and deliver innovative solutions that address business needs.
• Lead data analysis activities using available sources to identify trends and patterns, deliver deeper operational insights to make predictions and generate data-driven recommendations.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models and optimization models.
• Propose and develop data-driven support prototypes based on machine learning and Optimization for further evaluation by the business users.
• Leverage emerging tools, open-source frameworks, and cloud technologies (including Vertex AI and Databricks) to create predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions. Familiarity with the Skywise platform is considered a plus.

About you

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Operations Research, Artificial Intelligence.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and minimum 3 years’ experience in Data Science role.
• Experience in applying statistics, advanced analytical methods, and operations research to solve business problems.
• Excellent presentation skills and data visualization.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data preparation, querying, and ML model development.
• Hands‑on experience with GCP Vertex AI and frameworks like Tensor Flow, PyTorch, and Keras.
• Experience in Optimization software tools such as Cplex, Gurobi, Google OR‑Tools.
• Advanced level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills.
• Experience with top-tier BI tools such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau.
• Experience with the Skywise platform will be considered an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of partners, senior managers, and subject matter experts.
