Linux System Administrator - eChannels Support Job Overview We are hiring a Linux System Administrator to support our eChannels System Support division. This position plays a critical role in maintaining, securing, and optimizing Linux environments, ensuring continuous operational stability for core banking services. The ideal candidate should bring deep technical knowledge in Linux, Apache, Web Logic, Open Shift, and systems administration within a banking or high-security enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities
Install, monitor, and maintain core Linux-based server systems for eChannels operations Ensure all system processes meet required service levels and business continuity standards Execute routine backups, version control, and system patching procedures Monitor system logs and address performance bottlenecks and exceptions Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis, and coordinate changes with the AVP of eChannels Support Implement secure configurations aligned with enterprise risk and compliance policies Maintain disaster recovery readiness and automate backup tasks using scripts Manage documentation related to security, recovery, and operational procedures Collaborate with vendors, compliance teams, and auditors to ensure aligned system support Participate in system upgrades, new deployments, and cross-functional initiatives Support knowledge sharing and skill development within the systems support team Required
Skills and Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline
Experience:
Minimum 8 years in Linux and systems administration, preferably in banking Strong experience in Apache, Web Logic, Open Shift, and system hardening
Experience with change management, version control, and data security protocols Exposure to Windows and networking environments is a plus
Certifications:
Industry-recognized certifications in Linux, Open Shift, and related technologies preferred Technical
Skills:
Linux OS administration Backup and retention systems Network and systems design principles Familiarity with crisis management and 24/7 support models
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication in English;
Arabic is a plus Team leadership, conflict management, and decision-making Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
